🩵Happy Mother`s Day! I always miss my mother most on this day. Everything I share with you about gracious hospitality, delicious recipes, and ways to make people feel loved and welcomed comes from her legacy.
She loved the writings of humorist author Erma Bombeck. I`d often hear dying laughter in her room as she read one of Erma`s books. I`m sharing Erma`s best poem, "When God Created Mothers," on my website. I hope you`ll read it and smile.

28 years flew by! The best years of my life have been married to my forever. Marriage is not easy sometimes, but when you`re married to the right person for you, it isn`t hard (trust me, I had hard the first time).
We had an afternoon teaparty themed outdoor wedding at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden. When we booked it, the wedding coordinator said, "You know that`s Mayfest weekend. It will rain." I replied, "Not on my wedding day." It was sunny and 75 degrees!
Parenting, caregiving, retirement - through every chapter we`ve been by each other`s side. I`m so lucky. And very thankful to my sister, who set us up on a blind date!
