During the pandemic, our book club pivoted immediately to virtual meetings, so our club never missed a meeting. Happily supporting our efforts to continue our community, author Lian Dolan joined us to discuss her 2020 book The Sweeney Sisters. What a delight she is....
Hospitality is in my DNA. I founded Home with a Twist, a daughter’s twist on her mother’s traditions, in memory of my mother to celebrate her life and the gifts she shared with me. Mother loved to celebrate life’s occasions – big and small.She taught me how to prepare fabulous food, entertain guests with style and design a traditional home with a pop of color and a splash of animal print. Share my fondness of blending Mother’s mid-century style with a modern spin.

Every home needs a Dutch oven! My mother used hers all the time. She made the most delicious Brunswick stew.
These multi-purpose pots are a workhorse in the kitchen. You can use them for soup, chili, pot roast, cobbler, no knead bread, roasted chicken, and baked beans.
Look for them at estate and yard sales. As a fun wedding shower gift, fill it with a cookbook, kitchen towels, and spices!
For several years, I`ve chosen a "word" of the year rather than a resolution. A theme I can design my plans around. For 2025, my word is LESS.
Less money on things I don`t need
Less waste
Less stuff
Less worry
Less conflict
Less time spent on things or people that don`t serve me
Less anxiety about things I can`t control
Less TV
Less procrastinating
LESS can be MORE!
