I`m creating a new series where I`ll step into my kitchen and prepare family recipes submitted by this wonderful community. But I don`t just want the recipe...I want the story behind it.

Hi, I`m Melissa 👋
I`ve spent 40+ years gathering people around tables, and somewhere along the way I learned the secret: it was never about the china pattern or the perfect recipe. It was about making someone feel like they belonged at your table.
I mix Dollar Tree finds with my grandmother`s dishes. I use grocery store flowers and light a candle and call it done. I created a whole room in my house just for puzzles and cocktails and long phone calls with girlfriends.
If you`re the person who WANTS to host but keeps waiting until everything is perfect… pull up a chair. That`s exactly why I`m here.
