Maybe it’s the sound of the screen door closing behind you after a day spent outside. The smell of something baking in the kitchen. Your mother’s handwriting on a recipe card. The chair where someone you loved always sat. The way the house felt when everyone was home.
It’s funny how the smallest things become the biggest memories.
For me, it`s not a "thing" it`s a feeling. I`d love to relive my childhood summers. That first day of summer break. The smell of the public pool. Homemade ice cream in a hand-crank mixer. Catching fire flies. Camping. My birthday. My mother always made my August birthday magical.

I was the youngest of four - being the baby is the BEST! So my parents always took me with them to dinner parties. Even at 5 years old I was a great at small talk.🤣

The Shirley Temple has always been my fave. But let`s bring her into modern times and make her a little dirty! This drink is perfect as in for a mocktail, but you can show your guests the darker side of Shirley! 🍒🍒
The Dirty Shirley Recipe
1.5 oz silver rum
1.0 oz Marascino Cherry Liquer
.5 oz fresh lime juice
1 tsp grenadine
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake for 30 seconds (very important to shake for the full amount so it gets good and cold)
Strain over ice into a glass. Top with sparkling water and 🍒 cherries
