This year, I’m beyond delighted to partner with a handful of amazing vintage vendors at The Historic Camp Bowie Mercantile for a special holiday event called Vintage Under the Mistletoe — and you’re invited!
If you’ve ever wanted to skip the stress of big-box shopping and choose gifts with meaning instead, this evening is designed just for you.
Why Vintage? Why Now?
Every December, I’m reminded that the best gifts aren’t always the newest ones — they’re the ones with character, charm, and a whisper of the past. A pretty piece of milk glass like your grandmother used… a holiday platter that might have served a hundred Christmas dinners… a brass candlestick ready to shine on someone’s mantel again.
Vintage gifts aren’t just purchased — they’re passed forward.
And during Vintage Under the Mistletoe, we’re celebrating exactly that kind of meaningful giving.

We’ll start the night with mingling and a little nibble, then I’ll take you through a program on how to “skip the new and shop the storied” this season. I’ll show you creative ways to repurpose antiques, reimagine everyday objects, and choose vintage pieces that feel meaningful and intentional.
Because sometimes the most thoughtful gift is the one that has already lived a little life.

Scavenger Hunt + Shopping
After the presentation, we’ll set you loose on a festive scavenger hunt throughout the store — searching for pieces your grandmother might have owned, or items you can use in three completely different ways. It’s fun, inspiring, and a wonderful way to learn to see vintage pieces with fresh eyes.
Then you’ll have time to shop the booths of our participating vendors, all of whom are curating special vintage treasures just for this event.
