She’s Spicy –Organizing your spice cabinet
Jan 24, 2013 | (Organization and HomeKeeping)
I’ve had it with the space I keep my spices. The lazy Susan’s get jammed. I never know what spices I have or don’t have. You’re dead to me. I decided to take the door inside my pantry and make it spice central. I found a door...
Make an Entrance — Tips for Getting Your Porch Ready

What does your front porch say to your guests? Come on in…go away…this house is vacant…or come around the back? During this transition of September to October, I decorate my front porch with my alma mater, TCU, spirit. I have a rustic pot...
She taught me how to prepare fabulous food, entertain guests with style and design a traditional home with a pop of color and a splash of animal print. Share my fondness of blending Mother’s mid-century style with a modern spin.

Nothing says, "I adore you," quite like a warm biscuit wrapped up with love!
✨ Taking homemade goodies to a friend is a form of hospitality… and possibly the sweetest love language of all. 💌
This week I baked up a batch of fluffy, golden buttermilk biscuits (cue the butter melting magic ✨), then wrapped them up to surprise a friend — because who wouldn’t swoon over a warm, homemade treat arriving at their door? And, I added a jar of Mr. Twist`s blueberry jam and a batch of chocolate chip cookies (did you see yesterday`s post?).
Want to make your gifts extra special? My “You’re My Kinda Jam” gift tags (with the cutest little jam jar art) add that perfect finishing touch.

What makes a recipe a heirloom? It’s not always passed down from generations ago—it’s the ones we use again and again until the pages are sticky with love. This chocolate chip cookie recipe may not be written in my grandmother’s handwriting, but it holds just as much meaning.
Someday, it’ll be my daughter’s.

I have such fun memories going to Neiman Marcus with my mother when I was little. She always took me for my birthday and we`d eat in the Zodiac Tea Room. They`d serve hot popovers with demitasse cups of hot chicken broth. Then I`d order the children`s lunch of chicken and rice served inside a white porcelain covered chicken casserole dish. The dessert was an ice cream cone clown with a meringue collar. Such a treat.
Be sure to give the popovers a try. They are so delicious!
