My mother loved Erma Bombeck`s wisdom. I think that`s how she got through her days as a mother of four while helping my daddy run his business.
Erma`s message about waiting to host until your home is "perfect" is sage advice. People want to gather with us, not our things. Hosting is your gift to your friends. They are not coming to spend time with your carpet. Your friends need an evening out to feel loved, be seen and heard and nurtured.
Schedule the dinner party! Host with intention, not perfection.
