A new technology tool we’ve discovered during the COVID-19 pandemic is Zoom.  My Zooming has been with family, friends, and my book club.  But I know many of our readers Zoom for business meetings.  Which leads into….WWHW to a Zoom meeting!

Here’s the deal….you are only seen from the waist up…right?  So let’s start with tops that pop.  If you want to be seen at your video conferencing call, wear a bright color.  Ann Taylor’s green top with puffy sleeves definitely makes a statement. I’m also recommending print tops…anything with vibrant colors or animal prints!  Did I hear someone say….bonus?

It’s a balance…you want to be comfortable at home but also want to look presentable at your meeting.  There are so many great casual summer blazers that can be paired with jeans but are also conducive to Zooming.  A colorful striped blazer from Steinmart looks business-like when worn with white slacks or can go casual with distressed jeans…you choose!

If there’s one thing Dr. Deborah Birx taught us during the pandemic…you can’t own too many scarves!  Maybe you’re having one of those days…where you just want to be comfy and wear a t-shirt and jeans around the house.  Here’s a sneaky little tip:  Wear a scarf over your t-shirt with a pair of shorts or distressed jeans.  And don’t worry…I’ll keep your secret!  From Amazon Fashion to Johnny Was, there are so many beautiful scarves to choose from.  Dr. Birx…eat your heart out!

If you like to wear neutrals, then add a little pizazz with a pair of statement earrings or a dramatic necklace.  Be sure to browse the Stella & Dot selection on our Pinterest board.  A pair of colorful reading glasses is another fun accessory to add to your Zoom style.  My favorite peepers are a bright orange pair from Target. Amazon’s reader sets offer colorful glasses to match every outfit!

Something else that will set you apart from others “Zoomers” is your background.  What’s behind you is just as important as what you are wearing.  Whether it’s a decorative bookshelf, art, flowers, upholstery, or wallpaper….all of these are virtually attractive.  So consider complementing your outfit with your background interior!

Don’t you just love how fashion continues to evolve…even with new technology?  I hope to see all of you soon…..at a Zoom meeting…of course!
