I have to admit…I love everything about resort style! From lounging by the pool to lovely alfresco dinners, fashion never looked so fabulous! Our five-star resort style musts are: a tote, a swimsuit cover up, something red, a pair of stunning earrings, and a beautiful kimono.
Truthfully, I’m not a sun worshiper these days, but sitting under an umbrella, reading a book, and sipping a delicious drink poolside is the ultimate for me. A bag or tote is a must for your book, phone, and sunscreen. Last year I took a tasseled wicker beach bag to Encore…my favorite Vegas resort. This year, it’s a toss-up between Tuckernuck’s macramé basket tote and their crocheted carryall.
Another poolside must is a cover-up, and we think a long striped shirt is the perfect solution. A Pinterest look I adore shows a style influencer wearing a blue bathing suit with a blue and white striped cover-up paired with a Staud bucket bag. We are also loving how wrap skirts can double as a swimsuit cover ups. And of course….don’t forget to add a floppy hat to your luxe poolside style!
For a striking daytime resort look, why not wow them in red! Red sunshades, earrings, and handbags are definitely resort ready! Anything in a candy cane stripe, from a jumpsuit to a sundress, is ideal for a poolside lunch. To add a little retro to your resort style, we think Loeffler Randall’s lined basket bag is the perfect match. For elegant al fresco dining, a flowy red maxi in a solid or print unquestionably brings the wow factor!
I think I’ve mentioned how much I adore anything by Cult Gaia. For a five star look, think about taking your style up a notch or two with a pair of their fabulous green shoulder-dusting earrings paired with their acrylic Lilleth bag in malachite (on sale at Saks Fifth Avenue). To add a little extra flair to your cabana style, wear them with a leopard print bathing suit, dress, or skirt! Another exceptional look is pairing their wood earrings with a stunning green maxi.
Room service please! It never fails, at the end of a trip, all I want to do the last night is order room service….hamburger and French fries please! Of course, you can always relax in the resort robe, but why not take your resort style to the max. A green floral kimono and matching palazzo pants is perfect for room service. And we love how the kimono looks stunning paired with white pants or jeans…an elegant look for a night cap at one of the resort bars. How fantabulous is that?
Hmmm….I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time to make a call to my travel agent! And BTW…where are you resorting this summer?
