I was in Trader Joe’s the other day and at the register were baskets of their Fireworks Chocolate Bars. I had heard about these from their radio commercial and picked one up to have as our sweet with our Ploughman’s Lunch (check back tomorrow). A dark chocolate bar with chipotle spice, it’s a modern spin on the 80’s pop-rocks. After the chocolate has nestled nicely on your palate, the subtle popping ensues. These would be kind of fun on a s’more or as party favors for a July 4th party. And, it was perfect with a glass of red.

She taught me how to prepare fabulous food, entertain guests with style and design a traditional home with a pop of color and a splash of animal print. Share my fondness of blending Mother’s mid-century style with a modern spin.

✨ Day 2 of The Ladies` Lounge restyle is here, and today we’re giving the bookcase a glow-up that’s equal parts bold and beloved.
I used peel-and-stick wallpaper to echo the orange in my curtains, and filled the shelves with treasures that tell my story — books I adore, art that whispers read more, seashells, family photos, and my ever-growing collection of blue and white chinoiserie.
Sometimes, all it takes is a little pattern and a pop of color to turn a plain backdrop into a joyful invitation to linger (and maybe pick up a book).
Stay tuned — the final reveal is coming Saturday, and trust me… she’s going to be a stunner.
💬 Tell me below: what little detail in your home makes you smile every time you see it?

Styling Week for my Ladies` Lounge! I`ve been busy moving things around, curating art and debating over so many curtain options, but I finally settled on this rich green, bird, and botanical fabric, and I really love it. It`s definitely a personal vibe - but go bold or go home, right?
It speaks to me because my mother loved color - always saying,"Green is Mother Nature`s color and goes with everything." Mother also loved birds, and it brings me joy knowing a little bit of her is in this room!
Be sure to check back every day this week as I work on new styling additions and the big reveal of my ladies` lounge on Saturday!

Our tables hold more than plates — they hold laughter, tears, confessions, and countless slices of cake. This is a love letter to the place where we gather, grow, and feel at home. 💛
My childhood home was at 4617 Meadowbrook Drive. I learned to set the table there. I made my first recipe standing on a stepstool beside my mother. I witnessed joyous occasions like showers and birthdays and learned what loss feel like with meals brought by friends after a funeral.
What story does your table tell? I`d love for you to share your memory with me below or tag someone you`d love to invite to your next meal. #DearTable

Nothing says, "I adore you," quite like a warm biscuit wrapped up with love!
✨ Taking homemade goodies to a friend is a form of hospitality… and possibly the sweetest love language of all. 💌
This week I baked up a batch of fluffy, golden buttermilk biscuits (cue the butter melting magic ✨), then wrapped them up to surprise a friend — because who wouldn’t swoon over a warm, homemade treat arriving at their door? And, I added a jar of Mr. Twist`s blueberry jam and a batch of chocolate chip cookies (did you see yesterday`s post?).
Want to make your gifts extra special? My “You’re My Kinda Jam” gift tags (with the cutest little jam jar art) add that perfect finishing touch.
