Does anyone else feel we were ringing in the new year just a few weeks ago and are now preparing to celebrate Easter? Honestly, where has this year gone? This Easter, keep things simple and focused on bright colors. I found a set of six faux grass placemats on Amazon here. I set a whimsical table using stuff I already had, like the adorable sheep, pots of topiaries, a blue and white tablecloth, and blue and white checked melamine plates – both from Amazon. And of course I couldn’t resist adding heirloom carrots to the table.
How about tying up a bunch of radishes with twine to add a pop of color to a napkin? Peter Rabbit approves.
You don’t have to have a ton of decor for every holiday. These Coconut Macaroon Nests from Skinnytaste can serve as your Easter decor and dessert. Look at these sweet little peat pots I found on Amazon filled with candy. Wouldn’t a place card be adorable in each guest’s place setting?
Speaking of place cards – I created a free set of Easter place cards just for my followers. You can download here a set for your table or tie on easter baskets and hostess gifts.
As for an appetizer that will make a lasting impression, how about this adorable Easter carrot cheese ball from Yummy Healthy Easy.
Last, flowers. They don’t have to cost a ton to make an impact, and you don’t need to go to a florist. Trader Joe’s has a lovely selection of pretty spring blooms. I purchased Shamrock green hydrangeas, chamomile, and rose lilies this week, all under $20. And don’t forget your garden has plenty to contribute—like Dusty Miller, pansies, rosemary, and daffodils.
I’ve got tons more ideas on my Pinterest board for Easter here.
Happy Spring!
