16-1-1I stopped into Target recently to make a return and of course any credit I received went toward something else in the store.  First stop:  The “Dollar Section.”  Oh, my.  Lots of entertaining goodness for Thanksgiving.  I couldn’t believe the cute stuff.

Packaging your leftovers…

This little set comes with four pie slice boxes with doilies and twine.  Even if you didn’t use these for leftover Thanksgiving pecan pie, stock up and give friends slices of pie and a bag of Trader Joe’s pumpkin spice coffee as hostess gifts during the holidays.  You could even add a vintage fork from goodwill or an estate sale.

How about these leftover bags? Tuck everything down inside and take a meal to a neighbor that can’t get out.   Know someone who has to work on Thanksgiving day?  Take them leftovers so they have something special to eat during or after work.

Okay, these are down right adorable.  A set of four small brown paper sacks, with doilies, tags and blue wooden clothes pins.  Fun for cookies or homemade candy.  Great container for teacher gifts!

Sit Here, Please…

target-place-cardsSeveral cute options for place cards or labels for your food on your buffet.

I really liked the blue and white place cards.  Can you imagine setting your table with accents of navy, gold, chocolate brown and white pumpkins?

Blue chalkboard gift tags on burlap that would be sweet tied to the stem of a pumpkin at each person’s place setting. Again, with the gold accents — very on trend this season.

target-dollar-stampsYou could be super creative and make your own gift tags with the rubber stamps and set of ink pads — burgundy, copper metallic and forest green.  These could easily carry over into the Christmas holidays for all your homemade goodies.

I loved this set of 6×6 cardstock. Find little frames at the dollar store and use the cardstock as the mat then add a beautiful quote for your table.  I have tons of ideas pinned onto Pinterest for printables and quotes I like.

I also picked up a set of eight little appetizer plates for $12.  They have an argyle design in cream and copper. I think they will be a fun accent for the Thanksgiving table.

Most of the items I shared with you ranged between $1-$3 each, but your guests will have no idea they came from the Target dollar section.  Enjoy the compliments!
