I’m cold. It’s 40 degrees outside. Rainy. Phil was a little premature in his forecast of spring. But, I know that soon, it will be hot. 100. Humid.
Here’s a little stroll of my backyard sanctuary. Even though I may be cold, my little garden is in heaven.
Hospitality is in my DNA. I founded Home with a Twist, a daughter’s twist on her mother’s traditions, in memory of my mother to celebrate her life and the gifts she shared with me. Mother loved to celebrate life’s occasions – big and small.

Hello, August - my birthday month! The month that lingers between summer’s glow and autumn’s hush. I like to think of you as a gentle invitation — not to rush, but to notice. To finish what we started. To gather what we’ve grown. To feel the soft shift in the air and make space for what’s next.

My candy bar table is inspired from my childhood memories of walking with my bestie to Mott`s Five & Dime to buy penny (yes, I`m that old) candy. We`d fill brown paper sacks with our faves and skip home happy as can be.

✨✨ If I could sit beside that little girl — hair in pigtails, heart full of big dreams — I’d whisper the truths it took years to learn.
That she was already loved. That the quiet strength of the women before her lived in her bones. The table where she played, hosted tea parties, and make-believe at would one day hold stories, laughter, and legacy.
This is a love letter to her — the little girl I was, the woman I became, and the legacy I’m still living out. We are an unfinished portrait. Every day, adding new textures, layers, and beauty.
