It’s tailgating season, and whether you are gathering in the stadium parking lot or your living room, I’ve curated a collection to put a twist on the traditional tailgate.

At some point, wherever you live, it will be cool enough for a throw. How about this green faux mohair windowpane plaid throw? It will keep you warm and cozy, but it can also be multipurpose as a picnic blanket or a tablecloth.  It also comes in blue and cream. Both colors will work with most teams!

Outdoor lanterns – I  have several on my back patio, and they give such a cozy vibe with the flickering candles. This lantern is on clearance so you can get more than one. Set them on your table or your pickup, add a ribbon in your team’s color, and you have created an instant centerpiece.

A scalloped tray is a must for your charcuterie or sliders. This adorable tray has a scalloped edge and wooden beaded handles. It will not only take you into the holidays, but can’t you also see this as a coffee and tea tray on your bed on rainy mornings while you read?

Shatter-resistant glassware – A must for a tailgate or by the pool. I love these unbreakable stemmed wine glasses. Personally, I think stemmed wine glasses look more elevated versus stemless. With close to two thousand positive reviews, you can bet your guests will be impressed.

These stainless wine chillers are available for less than $12 and are a super affordable gift. Use them to keep all your bottled beverages chilled during the party.

Feeling super social, tailgate hop with this herringbone wine carrier if you want to tote your wine around the parking lot. Can you imagine it for picnics and BYOB restaurants? And you must pack a Rabbit wine bottle opener. Battery-operated, opening your wine with a Rabbit instead of a traditional corkscrew is much easier. It makes a terrific wedding gift, too.

Why not bring the hostess a gift when you show up at the tailgate? I love Squirrel Brand Town & Country Nut Mix. Wrap the can in cellophane, and you will give the hosts a lovely gift to enjoy at home. Jams are also a sweet gift and are terrific with cheese and crackers. These Polish recipe Old World jams are so yummy. For less than $30, you get four jars to keep or give – strawberry vanilla, pear ginger lime, apple mango, and sour cherry chia.

Finally, you need a Halo Thermoelectric cooler and heater bag. From the neighborhood block party to a quiet picnic in the park, this hybrid thermoelectric cooler/heater bag provides a smart solution for all your on-the-go culinary adventures — whether you’re loading cool beverages for a road trip or traveling with your famous wings to a tailgate. What a great wedding gift!
