Mother loved to celebrate life’s occasions – big and small.She taught me how to prepare fabulous food, entertain guests with style and design a traditional home with a pop of color and a splash of animal print. I`ve spent 40+ years gathering people around tables, and somewhere along the way I learned the secret: it was never about the china pattern or the perfect recipe. It was about making someone feel like they belonged at your table.
I mix Dollar Tree finds with my grandmother`s dishes. I use grocery store flowers and light a candle and call it done. I created a whole room in my house just for puzzles and cocktails and long phone calls with girlfriends.
If you`re the person who WANTS to host but keeps waiting until everything is perfect… pull up a chair. That`s exactly why I`m here.

True story about the wedding shower. I haven`t stopped looking at China patterns since 1972. I finally did get the Lenox Autumn but not until recently when my bestie @catherinewhite.art and I found a set at @ltolestatesales and split it up so we could both enjoy it.
