From Lifeway Women here is this month’s HomeLife Family Calendar. May is such a busy month. I think even busier than December, but in a different way. Our children are finishing school, preparing to graduate and start new adventures away at college, taking tests, cleaning out desks and dorm rooms. We are planning year-end parties, putting together teacher gifts, and making sure kids stay on track with assignments and projects. Creating family time this month will be especially important to keep everyone centered, grounded and comforted with the knowledge that God always provides. Print a copy and put on the fridge as a reminder that God delights in spending time with you each day.

She taught me how to prepare fabulous food, entertain guests with style and design a traditional home with a pop of color and a splash of animal print. Share my fondness of blending Mother’s mid-century style with a modern spin.

I found this recipe for Yellow Birthday Cake with Milk Chocolate Frosting several years ago. It tastes just like an old-fashioned cake your grandmother would serve with an ice cold glass of milk!
It`s not hard to bake from scratch. Honestly! And your efforts will be worth the effort when you see that first slice hit the plate! You deserve the bragging right.
I`m sharing the recipe on my website www.homewithatwist.com or comment BIRTHDAY and I`ll send you the link directly to your DM.

Take a pinch of ginger from a Georgian townhouse. Parsley from a Queen Anne villa. And a dash of pepper from your Swiss chalet!
Last fall, I set my timer for the launch day of the @lenox Village Spice Jars. My wait is over when they arrived this week!
Originally designed and sold in 1989, the set was released through a subscription model, with customers receiving a new spice house each month. The jars were meant to house the most popular cooking spices of the era.
Interest in the collectibles began to dip, and Lenox discontinued the spice jar series in 1993.
Lenox brought the village back for a limited time and includes 24 porcelain spice jars pastel hand-painted to look like miniature cottages. They go perfectly with my thrifted shelf from Lemons to Lemonade Estate Sales hanging in my keeping room.

Seriously. Which would you rather have - darkness at 4 p.m. or lose an hour, and you feel jet lagged for a week. Oh, well. It just means spring is coming! 🍀🌿☘️

My home was built in 2000 when TVs were ginormous. Hence, the built-in hole in the wall. It`s always bothered me, but it`s in our upstairs bonus room, so I`ve lived with it.
But recently, I added a shelf from another room, added lamps, vintage keepsakes, all belonging to my mother, and her gorgeous bluebonnet painting by artist Eleanor Greene.
Ironically, the TV stopped working right after I finished this project so I`m buying a new one.🤣 But at least they bluebonnets will be the first thing you see, and not the TV.
