28 years flew by! The best years of my life have been married to my forever. Marriage is not easy sometimes, but when you`re married to the right person for you, it isn`t hard (trust me, I had hard the first time).
We had an afternoon teaparty themed outdoor wedding at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden. When we booked it, the wedding coordinator said, "You know that`s Mayfest weekend. It will rain." I replied, "Not on my wedding day." It was sunny and 75 degrees!
Parenting, caregiving, retirement - through every chapter we`ve been by each other`s side. I`m so lucky. And very thankful to my sister, who set us up on a blind date!

Lemon Bar Recipe 🍋🍋🍋 comment LEMON, and I`ll send you the recipe!
This is one of my go-to treats for wedding and baby showers, and really, anytime I want a tart and sweet bite of lemon curd. And they are so pretty on a cake plate.
This is my sister`s recipe, and I`ve been baking them since I was about ten years old. I`ve never tried any other recipe because hers are perfect!
Do you love lemon bars like I do?

Many of these tips were things I watched my mother do when she hosted parties.
My favorite one is SELFCARE! Hosting is fun but it`s always a little draining. Refuel with a hot soak, a nap or just freshening your makeup.
Remember hosting is about intention, not perfection.
