I’m headed back to Maine on April 1 for season two as #MelissaINNMaine. I can’t wait to get back to Ogunquit! For the next two weeks, I am working on packing my bags to prepare for my seven-month stint managing The Blue Shutters Inn.
Over my break at home I have reflected on the wardrobe I took with me last year. In short, I took way too many clothes and not enough layering pieces. It was warmer in Ogunquit than I had thought, so the big bag of sweaters I brought stayed under the bed. When I worked in a traditional office setting I mixed up my clothing to create different outfits so it seemed like I always had on something new. At the Inn our flow of new guests is consistent so there isn’t a need to have an extensive closet filled with clothes. This time I am pairing it down with shorts, jeans, t-shirts, a few dresses and skirts, and button-down shirts. I will maybe take three sweaters to layer over a t-shirt or button-down. I need simple, easy pieces.
We host a daily afternoon happy hour and I enjoyed changing into something cool and comfortable – for me, that’s a dress. My friends at Mahi Gold sent me an adorable dress that I just love. From the boat to the beach to the dock to the bar, MAHI GOLD is the stylishly classic yet comfortable reminder to enjoy the view and the company you’re with. Known for their nautically inspired signature prints and impeccable fit, their goal is to keep you looking great and feeling even better. Their made-in-the-USA fabrication is easy to wash, wear and pack making it the perfect traveling dress. I love how soft the fabric feels! Their dresses can do double duty as a swim cover-up so you can go from the beach to cocktails. Be sure to visit Mahi Gold to see their entire catalog.
They are lots of styles for every figure and Mahi Gold also carries men’s and children’s clothes. New styles are coming this April.
I am looking forward to mingling with my guests at the Inn in style! Next week I will share some more fashion inspiration on the separates I am packing for my trip.
Can’t believe it’s time for Maine to open its doors. Great suggestions on dress. Can’t wait to follow your Innkeeper summer adventures!
I know! the time went by so fast. I can’t believe I am back in Maine for season two. Thank you for following season two.
