🐚🐚My Summer Story is filled with a collection of memories from vacations we`d take every summer. ⛱️☀️
Daddy loved the cool mountain air, so it meant a cross-country trip in our camper to Red River, New Mexico. I wish I could bottle the smell of mountain air.
Mother loved the ocean. We`d drive down to Galveston and go shelling, eat fried fish, and take long walks on the beach. 🐟🐠
I enjoy curating seasonal vignettes to remind me of these special times and give my guests a peek at what makes me who I am.
Everyone can relate to seashells, postcards, old family photos - especially the black and white ones and salt water taffy.
My vintage shell box is from @the_sassafras_shoppe. I just love it. Check out her shop!

🌹 🌹 I never pass up a crystal rose bowl. Elegant, timeless, and perfect for any flower, but especially roses.🌹🌹
The first bowls in this shape were made in the 1870s. Some of the most beautiful were made in England in the 1880s by Thomas Webb. There are two styles - a smooth edge like I have or a ruffle edged, popular in Victorian times, which were purely decorative.
I found both of these bowls @ltolestatesales. I almost walked away from the large one, but I`m so glad I didn`t leave it behind. I use it all the time.
Snall rose bowls are perfect a powder room, guest room, or lined up along the center of a dining table. You can use them for votive tea lights, too. A very versatile find, and they make a perfect wedding gift.
